Terms of Service & Student Agreement
Welcome! By registering for lessons, booking a schedule, or submitting payment, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following policies.
1. Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Unused Lessons & Refunds: Refunds for unused lesson credits or prepaid sessions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If lessons or services are terminated prematurely by either party, any approved refund will be processed as a partial refund reflecting only the remaining un-conducted lessons.
- Dismissal & Discontinuation: In the event that a student is dismissed from the school for policy violations, or if lessons are discontinued by the instructor, a partial refund will be issued for any pre-paid, un-conducted sessions. Already-completed lessons are non-refundable.
- Late Cancellations & Rescheduling: Lessons cancelled with less than 2 hours notice may be forfeited and billed at the full rate.
2. Code of Conduct & Online Classroom Etiquette
- Classroom Readiness: Students are expected to join online sessions in the beginning of class, considered to be the first 10 minutes, with a working internet connection, working audio/microphone, and camera enabled (unless prior agreements are made).
- Active Engagement: To foster an effective learning environment, students should join from a quiet environment free from major distractions.
- Instructor Authority & Dismissal: The instructor reserves the right to pause or end any lesson early if a student exhibits disruptive behavior. Repeated violations or severe misconduct may result in immediate dismissal from the school without further instruction.
3. Respect, Non-Discrimination & Inclusion Policy
- Respect for All: We are dedicated to maintaining a safe, supportive, and welcoming educational community. Respectful communication is required at all times between students, peers, and instructors.
- Non-Discrimination: Discrimination, harassment, microaggressions, or hate speech based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or background will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
- Inclusive Learning Environment: Every student is entitled to an environment free from intimidation or hostility. Any behavior that compromises the safety, dignity, or well-being of others is grounds for immediate termination of services.
4. Terms Acceptance Statement
Student Acknowledgment: “By completing your registration, booking a session, or remitting payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the Refund & Cancellation Policy, Class Conduct Policy, and Non-Discrimination Policy of Be Rooted Languages.
