I’m Aaron, teacher, interpreter and founder of Be Rooted Languages. Also as a lifelong language learner, i’ve created the Rooted Community to be far more than a one-person classroom.
When I’m not teaching or diving into learning new languages myself, I’m usually surrounded by family and my cozy crew of pets, working on a fiber arts project, or gathered around the table for a lively board game night.

Originally from sunny West Palm Beach, Florida, I’ve spent my career in public education since 2008 as an educational interpreter, and learning advocate. Trilingual in English, American Sign Language (ASL), and Spanish, I’ve experienced firsthand how transformative language can be. Whether you’re building everyday conversational skills, navigating a career shift, or putting down roots in a new culture.
Learning to speak a new language as an adult takes true courage. It requires vulnerability, patience, and a supportive environment. That’s why we’ve built Be-Rooted as a warm, empathetic, and encouraging space where no one has to learn in isolation. Together, we practice navigating real conversations, gaining confidence side by side.
You’ll usually find us in class sharing stories, learning from one another’s backgrounds, and supporting each other’s journeys.
We created this platform to offer a low-stress, highly engaging home specifically for adult learners. Through accessible monthly subscriptions for English and ASL, we provide clear, native-level instruction, feedback and collaborative practice designed to meet you right where you are.
To build something that endures, we must actively embrace the “roots”.
That includes our core character, our flaws, vulnerabilities, and personal history. Our roots guide and anchor us when the vibrant moments, the flowers, fade away.
